I will be going to a nearby town to lay some flowers on the grave of the son of Samuel and Emma Risien whose bodies were never recovered and who do not have a memorial. The Risiens were the only native Texans on board. Their son and daughter-in-law were close friends with Phil Gowan's family and that connection was the genesis of his interest in Titanic. I think a lot of us who have benefited from Phil's tireless research owe a great deal to this family. Commemorate.
